Enter through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14
Where do we begin? Transitioning back into Southern California’s culture for the past 7 1/2 years has been a struggle for our family. We know we are called to love and serve wherever the Lord has us, but we’ve felt more like aliens than citizens while back in the States.
We’ve continued the Lord’s work whenever we’ve had the opportunity through the years; serving in Baja, Mexico, here in the States, or elsewhere. In short, we’ve continued to be missionaries…just not full time in a third world country.
Serving again full time in ministry with dear friends and ministry partners, Danny and Joy Van Nes has been something we’ve prayed over all these years. We’ve been serving part-time with the Van Nes’s since October of 2018 in the ministry of: Walk the Narrow Road.
We believe that God is calling us to the next step, and that is to now move back to Mexico and continue His work with Walk the Narrow Road full time.
To get a better idea of what that might look like, please visit our new website: www.wtnr.org
The Van Nes’s were able to purchase property just south of Ensenada and have long held a vision of starting a Vocational School for young Nationals in the area. In the past 18 months we, and the Van Nes’s, along with others, including long time ministry partners the DiBacco Family, have begun building on the property.
To date, a home for the Van Nes’s and three Loft homes for student housing have been built.
Currently a dining hall and workshop are in the process of being constructed as well.
We believe, as fleshly humans, we’re prone to try and force our own will instead of God’s will, to suit our desires. We need to know that this is the Lord’s will for our lives, not us pushing our agenda on Him. With that, we ask that you would join us in prayer seeking His will for our lives and service in this ministry. It is our heart’s desire to see Him alone glorified.
Here are some specific ways you can join us in prayer:
- For all the plans that lay ahead, please partner with us in praying: ‘yet not what I will, but what You will.” Mark 14:36b We desire His will above our own.
- Please partner with us in praying for financial provision as well as protection from the enemy.
- Please pray that the Holy Spirit would keep our hearts holy, healthy, and unified.
